Does anyone else feel that in today’s world, it is virtually impossible to find a company that kills it when it comes to customer service? Yeah, me too. When I first heard about Chewy, I investigated the site and saw that they did have everything my pets used, but I was just hesitant on ordering dog food online, yet alone set up an auto ship! An auto ship?!? Do you understand the commitment that is required with that word? Yeah, so I decided I would stick to running out last minute to grab a bag of food, while my pups waited anxiously for dinner to arrive. I mean, isn’t that the best part of owning pets? Running out to the store at 8:00pm because you’ve realized tomorrow’s breakfast is nonexistent? It’s practically my favorite past time.

…until it wasn’t. After working a long day, I remembered about half way home that the girls were out of kibble. They always get so excited for dinner, so I realized there was no way I could go home, empty handed. It was late, I was tired and even hungry myself, but I knew what I had to do as a four-legged momma. I pulled up to my local pet store, only to realize it was way pass the time they would have been open. I started to panic after looking at the time and realized they would have to survive with another brand of food from Target. And that little bag did not last long before it was time to head back to the pet store. I decided during my second trip to the pet store in two days, I was over the past time of scheduling my life around my dogs and my local pet store hours. Enter Chewy.com.

Ever since I have included Chewy into my life and my pets’ lives, we are ALL much better off. The hesitancy that I experienced initially signing up for auto ship, has turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I am free to alter my auto ship at any point and get a cute little reminder that I have 3 days until my auto ship, ships to change it. You can also set up multiple auto ships! I have one for their food and treats, and then another for their wet food and their chews (since they do not go through those as often). When you sign up for auto ship you get a discount on your purchases. It really is as easy a 1, 2, Chewy!

But wait! There’s more! Chewy not only stands behind their products, but their customer service goes beyond anything I have ever encountered. Due to my multitasking, I have messed up a couple orders along the way. One in particular was for a dog bed for Ellie Bean. I was going back and forth with whether to get the large bed or the x-large bed. She is a big girl and I want her to be comfortable. After deciding that I would pay the extra money and get the x-large bed, I clicked purchase and checked out. Reminder: At this time, I am answering work emails, texting my Mooie (aka my mom), and fighting off two Labradoodles that both feel the need to sit on my lap. After about an hour or so, I checked my email and saw the order processing but for the LARGE bed. UGH! I scrambled to my laptop and opened up my browser to refresh my Chewy.com order. Yup, there it was. One, Large Orthopedic Dog Bed – color grey. I clicked on the link to start a live chat and spoke with a lovely woman (whose name escapes me since I started this post two months ago and am now just proofing it) and she quickly told me “not a problem. We will get this fixed!” Unfortunately or fortunately, Chewy.com is so fast that they already had processed my order. They asked me to purchase the x-large bed (not while multitasking LOL) and they would credit me for the large one. Easy enough. Problem solved.

Two days later I received the dog bed, size large and then the next day I received the other dog bed, size x-large. Not seeing the return label attached or anywhere in the packaging, I jumped online and started a chat with a Chewy representative. After quickly explaining the situation and asking for the return label, they told me not to worry about returning the large pet bed, but rather asked me to donate to a local shelter of my choice! Can you believe that? Because I certainly couldn’t and I even told the representative to charge me for it and that I would still donate it. Can you believe I did that?! It was like I was turning into a “good person” HA! And anyone who knows me, knows that I milk companies for all they can give me, especially when an order is wrong (even wrong on my behalf! The customer is ALWAYS right!).

To sum up all of these ramblings, Chewy is basically my new best friend. They send me hand written holiday and birthday cards for the animals and they always respond to my live chats with witty greetings and questions like “how is your day going?” I feel like Chewy can do no wrong in my eyes. They make being a pet owner, 10x easier, especially a pet owner with multiple pets. I will whole heartedly admit that I was a huge skeptic and not at all willing to commit to the whole auto ship deal, but I am hooked and that alone says a lot, especially coming from me. I hope that you will take the time out to browse their website, watch their amazing AND cute product videos, or even chat with a customer representative, because in the end, your four-legged friend will be thanking you xo

I recently decided to take a quick trip down to see my parents in Florida. Usually my trips are very last minute and leave everyone scrambling to make accommodations for the Queen LOL, but my trips are usually so quick and always on direct flights that in the past leaving sporadically has never been an […]

I have been MIA for the last couple of weeks mainly to the preparation I put myself through getting ready for vacation.  You know the deal; nails, hair, new bathing suits, facial, new outfits, finding someone to water the flowers… OK I don’t have flowers but it seemed like something people do. I have sent the […]

When I moved to Florida, I became a huge Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan after I attended my first game. It was hard not to be a fan with the stadium being 10 minutes from my house.  Sundays during football season, well actually any season, were nuts in Tampa Bay. After that I purchased season tickets […]
