If there is one thing everyone in my family can agree with, it is “do not piss off the princess.” I am a force to be reckoned with and as you have seen many times throughout my blog, I will speak my mind. However, over the years I have learned that there is a time and place for my passive aggressive remarks. Well, at least I would like to think I have learned that. I have become strategic in how I maneuver through tough situations where people just literally, piss me off. Needless to say, I was none of those last month and that is why I am naming BMW of South Albany as this April’s Jackhole of the Month and terrorizing their existence as a car dealership at the same time.

Now, I am sure many of you can agree with me when I say that over the years customer service is nothing like what it used to be. As technology advances and humans are being replaced with machines, there are less errors being made, but there is also a lack of appreciation of the consumer. And let me tell you. When it comes to lack of customer appreciation, BMW of South Albany wins the award.

Whether you are buying a new shirt or a new car, the people that are hired to assist you shouldn’t treat you any differently dependent on the price of the item. Their main objective is to serve or to assist in the sale aka why they are called sales people. Nowhere in their job description does it say:

  1. Create headaches for customers
  2. Make customers feel devalued
  3. Lie to customers in order to secure the sale

Nope. I have never seen any type of job description with any of those duties, but trust me when I say, it must be in BMW of South Albany’s Employee Manual and Core Values. It has to be. While I don’t want to relive the experience I had bringing my car in for service, I will say that every employee I interacted in the 10 minutes I was there, hit every job characteristic listed above on the head.  Never have I felt so unappreciated and taken of advantage of in such little time… only to feel it once again after writing the General Manager a long and factual email. He chose not to respond.

BMW of South Albany, you have been chosen as this month’s Jackhole. You are the lucky recipient of several negative reviews on various platforms from Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, and even Google Reviews. Included in the negative reviews, you will enjoy a decrease in sales, customers, and followers. Your name will be slandered in the eyes of anyone that comes in contact with me and I will make it a duty to make sure you relive this tragic day every year. Thank you for being you and making it so easy to name you as a 518 Jackhole.

Jackhole: Portmanteau of “Jackass” and “Asshole”. Originated as a name by radio personalities Kevin and Bean (from KROQ-FM in Los Angeles) as a way of calling somebody a nasty name without actually breaking FCC edicts against foul language.

Does anyone else feel that in today’s world, it is virtually impossible to find a company that kills it when it comes to customer service? Yeah, me too. When I first heard about Chewy, I investigated the site and saw that they did have everything my pets used, but I was just hesitant on ordering […]

The other night I did something that I really have a hard time doing, going out to eat by myself. I have always been one to order take out, but lately I find that take out just sucks. I mean it really should just be banned or something, mainly because it does a terrible job […]

When it comes to lip gloss, lip balm, or lipstick, I am obsessed. More obsessed with lip balm than anything. Lipstick still scares me because I always think it is all over my face, like when I used to apply it at the age of five. Nightmares. Lip gloss is fun, but sticky and messy. […]
