expectations

A couple of my co-workers introduced me to the Dirty John podcast, produced by the Los Angeles Times. Within the first 5 minutes, I was hooked. I would listen anytime I could and found myself eager to finish the podcast series so that I could watch the television series on E! Both presentations of the story were absolutely amazing. The story itself struck so close to home, that at times it was crazy to think I knew someone, who was exactly like John.

Between the True Crime podcasts and Joey’s continuous streaming of Live PD and the First 48, I was slowly becoming a crime spree junkie. For me, crime documentaries are fascinating because of the complexity of the way people think. It is more of a mental high that drags me into these shows, books and podcasts. The human mind is different for each person, with no two minds alike. The idea of trying to understand the way people think, ultimately calculating their thoughts and actions, is almost like a hobby to me.  This is important because the better I become at undertanding peoples way of thinking, the better I am to manage my expectations of people. And as I have said before, there is nothing more deflating in life than people not living up to their expectations

Which brings me to my most recent read, Evil Has A Name: The Untold Story of the Golden State Killer Investigation written by Paul Holes, Jim Clemente and Peter McDonnell. But before I discuss anymore, I wanted to clarify that this “read” is really only available as an audiobook through Audible.  I believe it is also available as a podcast as well. This “audiobook” goes through the investigative files and findings of the Golden State Killer, Joseph DeAngelo.

Other method includes transplanting stool from canada viagra healthy people to those in need. As a matter of fact it’s usually much cheaper, but you should tadalafil india always have yourself checked out first to make sure that the treatment or the medicine which you are buying drugs because many of them are fraud. This drug has been developed and sold in market by the hands of http://cute-n-tiny.com/cute-animals/cute-elephant-shrew/ online pharmacy tadalafil. Throughout the audiobook, you hear from some of the victims, family members of the victims as well as, law enforcement & specialists that were involved with the case.  In April 1974, DeAngelo’s first crime was committed; breaking into houses, taking low-value and personal items of his victims. Once the Golden State Killer started to lose control of the situations he was causing, he became violent and deadly. He suspected of raping more than 50 women and charged with 13 serial murders (Los Angeles Times).

While this “read” was tough at times, I felt it was a huge breakthrough with the use of genetic testing and criminal cases. Prepare yourself for some tough sections to muster through and an emotional connection to the victims. The narrators state it before almost every chapter, but I will say it for my readers as well.  Please note: This work contains descriptions of violent crime and sexual assault and may not be suitable for all listeners.

Last week I decided to spend my Saturday store hopping, hoping to possibly get some good last minute deals on Halloween decorations. As a new homeowner, I am still in the process of building my holiday décor collection and Halloween is one of those holidays I usually go back and forth on when it […]

Isn’t is weird when close friends find themselves in similar situations that you, yourself were once in? As women, we are always quick to give our advice, because 99% of the time we think we can relate to the situation with a similar experience. But that is the thing. We think we can relate and […]
