I couldn’t have chosen a better time to start Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter Street Series. This series is composed of four books that take the reader through four years with the Quinn family. I started this series, right before Thanksgiving and as you may have guessed, the storyline takes place throughout the holidays. In Hilderbrand fashion, the each book is set in Nantucket at the Quinn family business, The Winter Street Inn. The Quinn family is comprised of exciting characters, each with a story to tell. I feel anyone who reads this series, is bound to relate to at least one family member.
Since I “listened” to this book, through Audible.com, I became completely obsessed with the narrator, Erin Bennett who is beyond talented. She slays ALL of Erin Hilderbrand’s books on Audible.com and her voice has become therapeutic to me! She has a different voice for each character and just brings this series and every book she narrates to the next level.
When perceiving Mama as a saint among saints is culturally sanctioned, no matter how dysfunctional she may be, dismantling tadalafil soft tabs amerikabulteni.com her pedestal may seem as insurmountable a task as David’s battle against Goliath. And the age factor is most common resulting in low production of nitric oxide. amerikabulteni.com viagra pills Although certain factors have been definitely identified sildenafil online canada as contributors to hair loss, we must keep in mind that not all people are suitable candidates for chiropractors. My favorite character was the mother and ex-wife, Margaret Quinn. She is beautiful, big-time news anchor (think Barbara Walters status). She has an elegance that the author makes you feel anytime she speaks and there is a soothing, motherly nature I felt from her throughout all four books. I pictured an older woman similar to Meryl Streep in Devil Wears Prada, but with a personality and heart of gold similar to Leigh Anne Tuohy, played by Sandra Bullock in the Blindside. Out of all the characters, I felt like Margaret was really the only one that had her shit together at all times! She is the glue to the Quinn family.
Given the holiday setting and reference to holiday foods, traditions, and celebrations, I would not recommend reading this book early Spring, into Summer. Personally, I feel the reader will not be able to fully lose themselves in the storyline and truly enjoy the colorful descriptions with Christmas cheer while laying out on the beach. Trust me, Hilderbrand has PLENTY of books with the “beach” setting, to chose from. Remember The Perfect Couple I reviewed last week?
If you like reading a series and you love being taken through a holiday stroll of plentiful desserts, decorations and even a ho-ho Santa Clause, then I suggest you check out Erin Hilderbrand’s The Winter Street Series. I have about two hours left of the final book. I am seriously dreading the ending of this series and the idea of not spending another Christmas with the Quinn family. I am hoping that Hilderbrand does not leave any unanswered questions or any room for speculation. I mean, maybe, just maybe, she will grant my wish of having the Quinn family back in my life and write one more book. A girl can dream xo
